Action 1

Download, print and distribute a Sky Awareness Week flyer

October 12-19, 2009 is Sky Awareness Week (SAW) and we have put together a "Planning Package" for international events. The package contains samples, hints, tips and ideas. There's a lot in the works and we'll be posting updates here.
Please download and print the SAW flyer/poster. It lets people know that a week of Sky Awareness events is coming October 12 - 19, 2009.


The flyer/poster is a great way to bring attention to the problem in our skies and direct people to the CaliforniaSkywatch and BONNEFIRE Coalition websites. It also expresses the BONNEFIRE Coalition’s point of view regarding Persistent Jet Contrails. It is our hope that the information leads people to research further at the listed websites.

Encourage participation in the BONNEFIRE Coalition SAW writing/creative contest. It's a great way to get the creative juices and the discussion flowing!
Hand signed petitions carry more weight than their electronic counterparts. Go to the printer-ready document and print off a copy, sign and gather as many signatures as you can. Return it to the address provided at the bottom of the petition for delivery to elected officials.

If you know of members of Congress who will be sympathetic to the issue of Persistent Jet Contrails, please email the information to bonne_fire@yahoo.com

Here is my letter to Congressman Kucinich. As you can see, I was preparing him for our Coalition. Please use it for inspiration but not as cookie cutter correspondence. All of your elected officials need to hear your point of view!
Keep neat records of your correspondence. Send your letter in a priority mail envelope (the stiffer boxboard type) if you can afford it. These envelopes send a stronger message, as in "Here I am and I’m serious about my concern!"


Follow up with phone calls. Inquire (pleasantly) about the progress of your letter and whether your elected offical has seen it. If not, when will he/she see it? And … may you speak with him/her directly?
Please let the BONNEFIRE Coalition know what letters you send out and the steps you take to be heard.

Action 3

Research and obtain documents

The research documents we need must be from government, CDC, military, and/or university studies. We need resources that can stand up in a court or government exposition.
To avoid duplication of efforts, go to CaliforniaSkywatch before beginning your research. Read the support documents already available there.


Read Rosalind Peterson's articles on News With Views and follow the links to support documents. Rosalind's articles are also available at CaliforniaSkywatch in the Peterson Perspective.
When you have a sense of the work that has already been done then please help us with new documentation regarding:

• Ongoing weather manipulation/modification/mitigation programs in your own state ... especially programs using Aluminum and Barium
• The impacts of global dimming on agriculture, water supplies, tree decline, amphibian decline, bee/pollinator decline, human health (loss of Vitamin D/Ricketts, depression)
• The impacts of airborne Aluminum and Barium (and other patent contaminants - see Action #2 patents) on human health – especially correlated with a rise in Alzheimer’s Disease, Autism, and Asthma

If possible, please create a .pdf file of the documents and send it to info@californiaskywatch.com.
If you send a link to online documents, be sure to research the contents yourself and add a 2-paragraph summary of the pertinent information in the document.
If you cannot send a file electronically, then please send a paper copy of the document to: Rosalind Peterson, POB 499 Redwood Valley, California 95470. Again, be sure to include a 2-paragraph summary.
And please let us know at BONNEFIRE what research you have undertaken, what new documents you have obtained and what insights you’ve gained.

Action 4

Is that silver lining aluminum?

Collect precipitation (rain and snow) samples. These cannot be disputed. While it can be argued that surface-water sample tests are affected by runoff, precipitation provides indisputable evidence of contamination.
Agitate your sample before placing it in a clean plastic bottle. Contaminants may be invisible and they must be suspended in your sample.
Plastic is better than glass when testing for Elements. It needs to be clean but not necessarily sterilized when testing for Elements. Glass can "bleed" into your sample.
Bring your samples to a certified water-testing laboratory. (Inquire at your town office).


Tests should cost about $20 per Element.
Test for Aluminum if you can only afford to test for one element. If you can afford more, then test for Barium. After reading the Patents, below, you may want to choose other elements to test for too.
